The National Park Ischigualasto,  located at the notheast of San Juan,  is reognized by its paleontological  importance
due to the quantity of fossils  of the triasic period that had been found. This is the only place of the planet  where exist
the possibility of document the beginning and the end of dinosaurs. There is no doubt that Ischigualasto is considered
the center of attention of scientific and tourist of all the world.

In the interior of the Park we find "El Valle de la Luna". One deserted valley with extrems temperatures and permanent
wind.  We find curious naturals figures made by the erosion of wind year after year. Between the most  famous figures
we can find  the Submarino (Submarine) (left picture), the Hongo (Mushroom) (right picture),  the Esfinge (Sphinx) and
the Cancha de Bochas (Wooder balls field).

The Cuesta del Viento dam  (dike)  represent a trascendent  milestone  for the regional economy. This dike will help to
the  expansion of our agricultural borderline, suggesting regulate the Jachal's river caudal for the increase and contribu-
tion of the hydrant in our town, besides produce an important hydroelectrical offer that give the possibility of promotion
the economicals activities associated with the north west region of San Juan.

Moreover,  Cuesta del Viento is utilized for adventure tourism, developing important championships like the "Internatio-
nal championship of Wind -Surf" (left picture), or team activities like Rafting made along Jachal river (right picture).
